Lawrenson-Toal Academy of Irish Dance
Aileen Lawrenson ADCRG & Arlene Toal ADCRG
The dance academy has been running in the family for 48 years and has been a very successful Irish dance school.
Teacher Arlene Toal has travelled the world with Lord of the Dance and Riverdance, was part of Riverdance on Broadway in New York and has gained great knowledge of dance from her experience. She has also been very successful in competition, winning both the Ulster championships and the All-Ireland and international championships, along with many other majors in her dancing career.
The academy itself has had many Ulster, All-Ireland and international champions over the years, and, in recent years, dancers have won world championships in both solo & figure dancing. We are the current holder of the u11 World Champion 2025 here in North Belfast, 3rd in the world for u12 & 5th in the world for u17 along with many top 10 medal holders throughout many age ranges.
We have been extremely lucky and successful in training our dancers to reach a professional level, with many dancing in Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, Taste of Ireland & Raglan Road in Florida.
We strive to continue our success in coming years & with our future stars here in our new amazing studio in the ABC.
Classes are available in North Belfast and Crumlin, Co. Antrim.
